The Panjab University 5-year law entrance exam is conducted for admissions to the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS). The entrance question paper is a mix of questions from topics such as General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.

• 50% weightage is given to the marks scored by the candidates in the PU BA LLB/B.Com LLB entrance exam in addition to the marks scored in 10+2 examinations. An aspirant must score a minimum of 50% in 10+2 to be eligible to take the PU law after the +2 exam.
• An aspirant who scores a higher percentage of marks in the PU law after the +2 entrance exam shall be ranked higher in the merit list for admission to the PU BA LLB and B.Com LLB.
• When two or more candidates secure equal marks in the PU Law after +2 entrance exams as well as the 10+2 exams, then the candidate higher in age shall be ranked higher in order of merit.

LL.B

The PU LLB is an entrance exam for admission to LLB 3-Years, in Department of Laws (Panjab University, Chandigarh) and a few regional law colleges associated with Panjab University

Eligibility:

• Educational qualification: Candidates should have a graduate or postgraduate degree from Panjab University, or any other University recognized by the Bar Council of India and Panjab University.
• Minimum marks: The applicant should have passed the qualifying exam with at least 45% aggregate marks. A relaxation of 5% in minimum marks is extended to reserved category candidates.
• Age limit: There is no upper age limit.

PU CET (PG) – LL.M

There are around 100 multiple-choice questions from various legal subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, etc. Each question will carry one mark. The PU LLM entrance test is conducted for a duration of 90 minutes.
